Fig and clayA soft, fruity scent in a container that feels handmade to its edges.
The lid keeps the scentPut the lid on when the candle is not lit and the scent lasts longer.
A second lifeWhen the wax is gone the container becomes a small pot for jewellery, matches or cotton pads.

Carved from a block of clay

Kurinu builds on kurinuki, where the shape is cut out of a solid block of clay instead of thrown on a wheel. You see it in the straight, softly cut sides and the glazed surface.

Soy wax with fig scent

The candle burns for up to 40 hours according to Ferm Living. Put it out before the flame reaches the bottom of the container.

Product FAQ

How long does it burn?

Up to 40 hours according to Ferm Living. It depends on draughts and how long you burn it each time.

Is there a matching holder?

Yes, the Kurinu candle holder comes in the same three glazes.

What should I keep in mind while it burns?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles out of draughts and apart from each other, and put it out when about a centimetre is left. Also read the safety text on the packaging.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description

The Kurinu series is inspired by the Japanese kurinuki technique, where objects are carved out of a solid block of clay. The candle sits in a glazed terracotta container with a matching lid that keeps the scent in when the candle is not lit.

The wax is scented soy wax with a fig fragrance, and the candle burns for up to 40 hours according to Ferm Living.

When the candle is finished, use the container for small things on a shelf or in the bathroom. Available in three glazes: Honey, White and Terracotta.
