ARKTIS – “the Arctic” in Norwegian

Crisp and fresh, like a clear winter day in the mountains. The scent is built on windswept woods and arctic sage, spearmint and snowflakes and fills the room without taking over. Let the candle burn until the whole surface has melted the first time, about two to three hours, so it burns evenly afterwards.

Rapeseed wax, cotton wick and beechwood

The wax is Swedish rapeseed wax and the wick is cotton. Trim the wick to about half a centimetre before relighting, and leave half a centimetre of wax at the bottom.

How do I get an even burn?

Let it burn for two to three hours the first time, until the whole surface has melted to the edge. Trim the wick to about 0.5 cm before each lighting.

Can I use the glass afterwards?

Yes. Remove the leftover wax, wash the glass – it is dishwasher safe – and use it for tealights or storage.

What should I keep in mind while it burns?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles out of draughts and apart from each other, and put it out when about a centimetre is left. Also read the safety text on the packaging.

Description

Crisp and fresh, like a clear winter day in the mountains. ARKTIS means “the Arctic” in Norwegian, and the scent is built on windswept woods and arctic sage, spearmint and snowflakes. The glass and box are a seasonal winter edition.

The candle is made of Swedish rapeseed wax with essential oils and synthetic fragrances, with a cotton wick. A 200 g candle burns for about 50 hours according to Skandinavisk. The glass is partly recycled and dishwasher safe, and the beechwood lid works both as a coaster while the candle burns and as a snuffer.

When the candle is finished, use the glass for tealights or storage. Skandinavisk is a Danish fragrance brand and the candles are made in France.
