It senses your home

The DuoClean Detect floorhead has two rolls and several sensors. It raises power when it finds more dirt, when it gets close to an edge or corner and when you roll onto a carpet – and drops back on clean, hard floors.

Stairs, sofas and the car

Lift out the handheld and fit the motorised pet tool for fur on the sofa or dog bed. The dusting brush and multi-surface tool handle shelves, skirting and car seats.

Bend and fold

The Flexology wand bends so the floorhead reaches far under the sofa and bed. After cleaning, fold the vacuum for compact storage.

  • ★★★★★Perfect - wonderful for dog hair

Been using this vacuum since mid April 2026. I know some reviews find fault with it, but I only have 3 words to say about this product. I HAVE PUGS And this handles the pug hair so superbly! And folds very neatly. The only thing I don't like about it is I usually take the wand off for running around pointy corners and really you need to use an enclosed attachment for that purpose. But in the round, I LOVE this vacuum. It automatically adjusts the suction against skirting boards/cupboards/walls etc and when going from my beautiful but so impractical black floral carpet onto wooden floor. 10/10

  • ★★★★★Fabulous all round vacuum

Bought this 4 weeks ago and oh my how it's changed my life! Vacuuming was not my favourite job in the house but now with this Shark cordless vacuuming has become such a pleasure. It is light, easy to move around, the auto detect power for suction is great and it swiftly without issue changes from tile to carpeted flooring. Having 2 cats the motorised pet tool has been an eye opener!! I'm amazed at just how much debris this Shark can pick up!! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

  • ★★★★★Floors have a new lease of life!

I have enjoyed using my new vacuum cleaner on both wooden and carpeted flooring. It manoeuvres easily and the light allows debris to be identified easily. The tools are extremely useful, allowing access to small, difficult to reach places and the parts are interchangeable with ease of use. Most importantly, for me, the cleaner is extremely powerful and removes debris quickly and easily, making my carpets appear new again. I am happy so far, therefore, that I made the correct decision purchasing this model. I have been satisfied with Shark in the past and was happy to make another Shark purchase.

  • ★★★★★Absolutely the best vacuum cleaner - SHARK

This is the finest vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and I'm in my mid 70s. It's not too heavy, excellent design and surprisingly powerful for a cordless vacuum. I love it and am absolutely delighted with it. It makes me wonder how I managed with my heavy and cumbersome old corded cleaner for so many years with its lead constantly getting caught up around doors and furniture! Buy a Shark and you won't be disappointed!

  • ★★★★★Great suction

Battery lasted longer than I thought. Managed to vacuum 3 average sized bedrooms, stairs, landing, hallway, sitting room, dining room, kitchen and conservatory!! One charge with charge left over! I just left the vacuum on sense detect mode and let it do its thing. Very pleased with it.

Product FAQ

Can I add a self-emptying base?

We sell the same vacuum with a self-emptying base as Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty IP3251EUT.

How long does the battery last?

According to Shark up to 70 minutes in ECO mode with a non-motorised tool. In BOOST mode and with the floorhead it runs down faster. A full charge takes about 6 hours.

Does it work on carpets and hard floors?

Yes. FloorDetect senses the floor type and adjusts the roll, so you can go from carpet to parquet without changing the floorhead.

Which tools are included?

A dusting brush, a multi-surface tool and a motorised pet tool.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Delivery options and times are on our Delivery page. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal and a 3-year right to complain – see the Returns page.

Description

Shark's PowerDetect vacuum for homes with pets and plenty of floor. The DuoClean Detect floorhead has two brush rolls and several sensors: DirtDetect boosts power where it's dirty, EdgeDetect along edges and in corners, and FloorDetect switches the roll between carpet and hard floor. The floorhead picks up debris both when you push forward and pull back.

Anti Hair Wrap Plus combs long hair and pet hair off the roll while you vacuum. A display shows battery level and mode (ECO, DETECT and BOOST), and the battery gives up to 70 minutes in ECO mode with a non-motorised tool according to Shark.

The Flexology wand bends under furniture and folds for storage. As a handheld it takes on stairs, sofas and the car with the dusting brush, the multi-surface tool and the motorised pet tool.
