I've had this about a week now and have made 4 different ice creams; each has been amazing. I love how easy the machine is to clean and it works really well. The only downside to it is the amount of space it takes up – if you have a smaller kitchen I can see it being a problem.

Does the base have to be frozen in advance?

Yes, the base is frozen in the tub for about 24 hours before processing.

How big is it?

According to Ninja 33.4 × 24.1 × 44.5 cm (L × W × H). Measure the space under your wall cabinets.

Is it loud?

The motor is audible while it works, but a programme only takes a few minutes.

Scoop or soft serve – you choose. CREAMi Spoon & Spin makes both classic scoopable ice cream and soft serve that you pull straight from the machine into a cone.

The machine has 13 programmes: six classic CREAMi programmes (ice cream, lite ice cream, gelato, sorbet, frozen yoghurt and milkshake), six soft serve programmes and a Mix-in programme for cookie pieces, sweets and other add-ins. According to Ninja, one tub makes up to four cones.

Freeze the base in the tub for a day, put it in the outer bowl, choose a programme and let the machine work for a few minutes. Two 480 ml tubs are included, and the removable parts are dishwasher safe.
