A gift that gets usedA vase is a gift that finds a place in the home for years.

Geometry and light

Ruutu means square. The faceted shape makes the colour shift depending on where the light comes from.

Best in a group

Place two or three Ruutu vases of different heights and colours side by side – on a sideboard or in a window niche.

Product FAQ

Does every piece look the same?

No. Each vase is mouth-blown by hand, so small bubbles, shifts in colour and variations in shape are part of the craft – not flaws.

Is it dishwasher safe?

No, wash it by hand in lukewarm water with a little washing-up liquid and dry with a soft towel.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Delivery options and times are on our Delivery page. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal and a 3-year right to complain – see the Returns page.

Description

The Ruutu vase is designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec – a tribute to symmetry and craftsmanship. Each vase takes a full working day for seven glassmakers at the Iittala glassworks in Finland.

The square, diamond-like shape catches and refracts the light. Ruutu looks good alone but even better in a group, in different heights and colours. Hand wash.
