No, 120 Gb/s needs Thunderbolt 5 at both ends. Otherwise it runs at the slower device's speed.

Description

A black braided 1-metre Thunderbolt 5 cable that handles data transfer up to 120 Gb/s, DisplayPort 2.1 video and charging up to 240 W. It coils without tangling.

Use it to connect a Mac to Studio Display, docks, fast external drives and other Thunderbolt and USB devices. It also connects USB-C iPhone and iPad to a Mac.

The cable is passive and supports Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 (up to 80 Gb/s) plus USB 3 (10 Gb/s). Up to six Thunderbolt devices can be daisy-chained.
